grants and SCHOLARSHIPs
Each year the United Soccer Coaches Foundation awards grants and scholarships through an application process to deserving coaches.
There are four types of grants and scholarships: For the Good of the Game, Convention, Education, and Host-a-Course.
Applications for grants from the For the Good of the Game Fund are received and reviewed year-round, while the application process for Convention, Education, and Host-a-Course scholarships opens in August and closes in September. Please see below for additional information.
Application process
Convention Scholarship Award
Single registration for this year’s Convention. Includes registration for the convention, hotel accommodations for three total nights, and a travel stipend. Applications are accepted each year from August through September.
Education Scholarship Award
Single registration for an education course hosted by United Soccer Coaches. Includes one course registration. Applications are accepted each year from August through September.
host-a-Course Grant Award
Covers costs for a United Soccer Coaches education course to be facilitated at your chosen facility and in your community. Applications are accepted each year from August through September.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Current soccer coach, regardless of level; and
Committed to the advancement of diversity and inclusion in the game of soccer; and
Dedicated to serving the needs of underserved groups or communities; and/or
Dedicated to serving the development of minority coaches; and
Have a demonstrable financial need; and
Be 18+ at the time of applying
All grant requests, including all supporting materials, become the property of United Soccer Coaches Foundation and will not be returned. United Soccer Coaches Foundation reserves the right to reject any grant request.
Organization(s) and individuals receiving a grant or scholarship from United Soccer Coaches Foundation will be required to utilize their award within 12 months of being notified.
