About the foundation
In 1989, United Soccer Coaches, formerly the NSCAA, established a committee to develop a foundation to assist coaches in obtaining coaching education. Over the subsequent three-plus decades, this philanthropic endeavor has been implemented and expanded. It is now United Soccer Coaches Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, managed by a Board of Directors, and serving coaches across the country. The Foundation’s mission is to “provide financial support through grants and scholarships for coaching education and other developmental opportunities for soccer coaches who bring the game to underserved socioeconomic communities and Advocacy groups.”
The Foundation firmly believes in the broader societal benefits of soccer as a recreational activity, an avenue for health and fitness, a means of building leadership skills, and a competitive sport. We can provide these benefits through soccer coaching education. There are multiple ways for interested individuals and companies to donate to the United Soccer Coaches Foundation, including:
o Named Endowment Funds
o Legacy Society
o For the Good of the Game Fund
o Cornerstone Society
